RC Groundworks - Groundworks, Landscaping and Building

Our Portfolio...

RC Ground Works Ltd treats every project with the same attention to detail. Below you will find details of some of our most recent projects.

Cobbled Parking Space,Courtyard & Wall

On this project we cobbled in front of the clients garage and the farm house, we also built a new brick wall to hide the existing retaining wall and laid a land drain at the back which connected into new acco channel system. As you can see from the photographs the angles were quite steep leading from the road to back door,we used a marshall cobble which you lay like block pavoirs and comes with its own jointing compound.Which you just brush in and wash of cobbles at the end, this product is much quicker to use than the traditional way and also more durable.

Tarmac Paths- Kellogs Wrexham

The existing paths here were originally slabbed which was causing a trip hazard,so the client wanted them excavated and resurfaced with tarmac. So we excavated original pathways and edging, then re-edged and formed up with hardcore ready for tarmac.

The essential factor here was that there was going to be no water standing on the new pathways as that could cause a slip hazard. With Kellogs being such a big and busy factory with a lot of pedestrian traffic,we couldn't simply just close the pathways we were working on.We set out barrier'd pedestrian walkways and all works were carried out in fenced off safe zones, with full risk assessments and method statements supplied.

We laid acco channels right across to take the surface water which empty into a soak away inside of the flower bed.We then dropped the kerbs at the road side and resurfaced the path.
